Many of you will know the Fernweh-Mobil off-road travel cabins. Now Benno Cramer brings a new idea for fans of demountable campers from Finnentrop in the Sauerland. The Fernweh-Mobil flatbed with storage boxes.
Flatbeds for pick-ups, with or without storage boxes, are nothing new, but this flatbed with storage boxes is genuinely interesting for all pick-up and camper fans. It offers a big gain in space and allows many uses, for travel, for hobbies and leisure or for work.
The tough Fernweh-Mobil flatbed with storage boxes offers huge space
The newly designed flatbed is a real space wonder and wins you over with its compact external dimensions and a lower weight than the standard bed. Thanks to a very tough aluminium construction, the flatbed with storage boxes is up to any challenge of an off-road trip. That’s especially down to the clever design and mounting, which does without a rigid frame and so allows plenty of flex.
The flatbed with storage boxes can be individually adapted to any pick-up, and besides the Fernweh-Mobil® off-road travel cabins (container-compatible), other cabins can of course be mounted on it too.
With the Fernweh-Mobil flatbed with storage boxes, the pick-up’s load bed grows to a length of 190 cm, with a width of 135 cm and a height of 47 cm on the Extra Cab, or a length of 170 cm on the Double Cab, giving room for two euro pallets. The storage boxes add an extra 354 litres (Double Cab) or 426 litres (Extra Cab) of storage. The upper storage boxes have an internal length of about 190 cm (Extra Cab) and about 170 cm (Double Cab). The overall construction even gives a slight weight saving over the standard version of a pick-up.
Plenty of extras available
A tailgate, airline rails and fittings to secure extra cargo, an anti-slip mat, lighting options and much more are available as paid extras. Further options are planned. The flatbed with storage boxes is available in any RAL colour on request. Fitting and registration in the vehicle papers are done in-house at Cramer Technik.
