OLC Adventure turns an ordinary pickup into a self-sufficient travel vehicle: the new hardtop camper from OLC uses aluminium instead of tent fabric and brings real-glass windows, storage and a fixed place to sleep. Here are the key facts.
OLC has launched a new hardtop camper for pickups. The pop-up hardtop turns a standard pickup into a travel vehicle with a solid roof and a place to sleep, without limiting its off-road ability. Thanks to the clever mechanism, a few movements turn the hardtop into a ready-to-use base camp in seconds.

Aluminium instead of tent fabric
For the pop-up roof, OLC does without tent fabric and uses aluminium honeycomb panels, a sandwich construction with a honeycomb core. The hardtop itself is made of aluminium too. Opened up, the sleeping cabin measures 2,800 × 1,530 millimetres on the outside, with a raised height of 860 millimetres outside and 700 millimetres inside. You sleep on a bed of 2,200 × 1,400 millimetres.
Windows, storage and light
At the front and rear there are real-glass sliding windows, and in the upper side walls approved glass sliding windows with an E marking, each with blackout and mosquito nets. On top of that come three lockable flaps and twelve storage compartments. The mattress is built up in two layers, with a cold-foam core, a topper and a removable, washable cover. Light comes from a dimmable LED lamp with three colour temperatures, which runs off USB-A.
Living space by day, a bed by night
A clever detail: during the day you simply slide the rear half of the bed forward. Underneath, a tall interior opens up that works as a living cabin. In the evening you slide the surface back and have the full-length bed again.
Modular and expandable
The hardtop is the base, and you decide the rest: anyone who just wants a solid cover for the load bed runs it with a plain aluminium lid. Anyone who wants to camp puts the folding sleeping cabin on top. Beyond that, side sliding windows or a full kitchen unit can be added.
With the pickup cabin, OLC set out to build something that stands up to the hard conditions on the trail and still offers the space and comfort that overlanders need.
Premiere at the Adventure Northside
You can see the camper for yourself this coming weekend: OLC is showing it from 18 to 20 September 2026 at the Adventure Northside at Gut Basthorst near Hamburg, on stand C8.
