Alu-Cab Gen 3-R roof tent
On the outside, the new Alu-Cab Gen 3-R roof tent is very similar to the familiar Expedition Gen 3.1. The new design includes a new roof structure, which is meant to give the whole tent better stability. Added to this are equipment details that increase comfort. These include a connection for a solar panel and a night heater. Inside you’ll find, as usual, the LED interior lighting and a USB charging socket. The pocket system is larger than on the Gen 3.1, and the tent now has a rear rain guard in addition to the side one. For all that, the Alu-Cab Gen 3-R roof tent is three kilograms lighter than the Gen 3.1.

Alu-Cab Contour hardtop
The Alu-Cab hardtops have a frame of welded aluminium profiles and are clad with aluminium sheet. The hardtops are fitted with waterproof hinges, keyed-alike locks and gas struts on the flaps. Fitting is usually easy on many different pick-ups. The roofs are reinforced so that additional loads can be carried on them.
The new Alu-Cab Contour hardtop is available with or without side window flaps. With the standard flaps it weighs about 57 kilograms. The version with glass windows tips the scales at 62 kilograms. The hardtop is fitted with a sliding window to the front, an additional brake light and interior lighting, and is available only in black.
Alu-Cab 180-degree awning
180-degree awnings, essentially the little sister of the popular 270-degree awnings, are becoming ever more popular. With the Alu-Cab 180-degree awning, Genesis Import now has such a narrow awning in its range too. Like the 270-degree counterpart, the awning consists of aluminium arms and a water-repellent fabric. It also has a fold-out support. It is 2.60 metres long and weighs 24 kilograms.
The Alu-Cab 180-degree awning is supplied with a protective cover, a peg set and without vehicle-specific mounts.
Edgeout off-road trailer
In Bad Kissingen, Genesis Import presented an off-road trailer: the Edgeout. The 750-kilogram trailer has a payload capacity of 550 kg and consists of a sleeping cabin and a kitchen at the rear. The Edgeout mini-caravan has room for two to three people. The trailer is still in the prototype phase and not yet available to buy.
