Advertisement: If you want a self-supporting awning, you no longer have to dig deep: with the new “Volksmarkise” you can now add reliable shade to your vehicle without cracking the 1,000-euro mark. Whether for smaller vehicles like a 4×4 or for larger vans and buses, the “Volksmarkise” comes in two handy versions.
The Volksmarkise in two sizes
The smaller “Volksmarkise”, at 2 x 2 metres, offers 4 m² of shade, enough for vehicles with a roof length of about 2 metres. It is light and compact, and so perfect for smaller 4x4s or mini-campers. The larger awning measures 2.5 x 2.5 metres and, with its 6.25 m², covers larger vehicles like vans, buses or bigger SUVs.
A self-supporting awning, tough and cleverly designed
Both versions of the “Volksmarkise” are self-supporting and manage without extra support poles, ideal for vehicles with tailgates, where poles in the way are often a nuisance. Thanks to the built-in stainless-steel gas struts, the awning opens almost by itself, which makes setting it up much easier. The hard-wearing 600D Oxford polyester fabric reliably protects you from sun, wind and weather.
The “Volksmarkise” is tough, and it comes with clever extras too:
- Built-in LED lighting: both versions come with dimmable LED lights that shine in two colours and run off a USB port. So you can set the right mood under the awning in the evening too.
- Flexible accessories: telescopic poles, guy lines and ground anchors are supplied, which keep things stable even in windy weather. The mounting brackets in hard-wearing material are of course included.
Light and versatile
The smaller awning weighs just 12 kilograms, the larger one tips the scales at 16.8 kilograms, a real lightweight for the functionality on offer. With the two telescopic poles you can prop the awning up as well if needed, when there is a bit more wind.
