VICKYWOOD HAZEL 130: Two Tents in One

If you don’t want to give up quick handling or stylish design when camping, take a close look at the new VICKYWOOD HAZEL 130. This hardshell roof tent brings two worlds together: it either lifts fully like a classic pop-up tent or opens partly as an aerodynamic wedge tent, depending on what suits the weather, the view or the pitch best at the time.

Design meets engineering: the best of two systems

On looks alone the HAZEL 130 stands out from the crowd of hardshell tents. The flat shell of high-quality ABS looks clean and modern and is deliberately designed without external buckles, straps or belts. No flapping straps, no fiddling. The closing mechanism sits inside, well thought out, secure and pleasantly discreet.

VICKYWOOD HAZEL 130: a clever opening mechanism with gas struts

The real trick, though, is the opening system: two pairs of gas struts allow either the full pop-up-style opening or the partial opening in wedge mode, as needed. That brings flexibility and saves time, especially when you park on a whim or only want a short break. The rear is closed via an internal pull-strap system, the front secured by a press catch. External tension catches? None.

270° view, and unzip it completely? You can!

And the best part: in wedge mode the entire front of the tent can be unzipped. In no time the HAZEL 130 becomes a panorama lounge with a 270° view, perfect for sunsets, watching wildlife or a breakfast with a guaranteed dose of wanderlust. Two small poles for the rainfly are enough to keep everything stable, with no extra window poles.

The VICKYWOOD HAZEL 130 in brief:

  • Shell: 132 x 231 x 19 cm
  • Sleeping area: 110 x 200 cm
  • Weight: about 67 kg (without accessories)
  • Interior height: about 110 cm
  • Material: 300D elastic silk with graphene coating (UV-resistant, 5,000 mm water column)

Inside, a real upgrade on the standard roof tent awaits: an 8 cm thick memory-foam air mattress, two LED strips with USB-C, plenty of well-thought-out details and the good feeling of folding it all away quickly when it’s time to move on. The HAZEL 130 isn’t simply another roof tent, it’s a clever piece of outdoor engineering. If you don’t want to choose between pop-up and wedge, you get both here. Add a clean look with no fiddly hardware on the outside, quick setup and takedown and well-judged comfort. A real statement for everyone who’s on the road a lot but doesn’t want to compromise.
