Order in the Camper with the Orga Z-Saggerl

Advertisement: You know how it is: you roll onto the pitch, switch off the engine, take a breath. And then you search: reading glasses, wallet, charger, head torch, headphones … You know you’ve got everything with you, but where exactly? These are the moments when you wish you could finally bring some order to the camper chaos, and you realise you should think about an organisation solution in the camper like the Orga Z-Saggerl from VANRIDING.

With the Z-Saggerls, VANRIDING has developed a system for exactly that. Rubbish, small bits, kitchen stuff, bathroom items, tech, all of it gets its fixed place. Originally sewn as a bin-bag solution, it gradually became a versatile organisation system.

The journey continues with the Orga Z-Saggerl

The core of the system is the Orga Z-Saggerl. Into the Orga Z-Saggerl goes everything you constantly use on the road. Glasses case, phone, charging cable, medication, pen and notepad, pocket knife, head torch. Things that otherwise fly around loose in the vehicle or get lost in some box.

The fabric feels sturdy and copes with everyday life and holidays alike. If something leaks at some point, the damage stays manageable, because you wash the Orga Z-Saggerl in the machine at 30 degrees and take it along fresh on the next tour.

Of course you can buy several holders and just one Orga Z-Saggerl, then you can always attach it wherever you need it. In the bathroom area next to the sink. In the kitchen unit, so spices, washing-up sponge and washing-up liquid stay together. By the bed, to have your book, glasses, phone and head torch to hand. In the cab, so keys, toll ticket or sun cream don’t disappear between the seat and the centre console.

You need neither adhesive tape nor drill holes. You hook in the adapter, connect it to the base holder and have your Orga Z-Saggerl exactly where you want it right now. In the morning at the kitchen unit, at midday on the outer body next to the grill, in the evening by the bed. One bag, many positions.

slide & connect: organisation that travels with you

The real trick lies in the combination of the Orga Z-Saggerl and the slide & connect system. You don’t just have a bag, you have a module that you click onto various holders and move with one grip.

Orga Z-Saggerl

The heart of it is the s&c base holder. It sits on the back of the Z-Saggerl and works with a simple two-loop system. You fit it once and then the connection holds reliably. The base holder fits the Orga Z-Saggerls, plus the larger Z-Saggerl models L and XL.

From there it goes in all directions. Depending on your vehicle build, you use different adapters:

It gets even more relaxed when you have Z-Saggerls hanging at several spots in the vehicle and each one holds exactly what you use there.

From the first Z-Saggerl to a small organisation workshop

Before Vanriding developed complete organisation solutions for small items, there was a different problem on the table. Rubbish on the road. Not complicated, just annoying. Plastic bags that tear. And does it even have to be plastic? Buckets that get in the way. Solutions that don’t feel good in cramped vehicles. In panel vans, off-roaders or small campervans in particular, every centimetre has to work.

Out of exactly this everyday experience came the idea behind the Z-Saggerl. Originally a bin bag that doesn’t have to hide, because it looks good, feels clean and still copes with everything. The bag is made of hard-wearing, waterproof outdoor fabric, can be wiped clean easily and, if needed, thoroughly cleaned or washed. The drawcord closure stays sealed, whether you’re rocking along the track or sitting in a traffic jam.

Even though the Z-Saggerl was meant as a rubbish solution, it quickly showed: the bag can do more. Many people use it today for dirty laundry, dog gear, wet swimming things, children’s toys or tools that have no place of their own in the vehicle.

It was from exactly this first, self-sewn Z-Saggerl that a range gradually developed. What began as a practical improvisation in their own van became a small workshop idea. The first orders came in via Instagram and confirmed: the demand was there. Step by step, not only new variants of the Z-Saggerl grew out of this origin, but a whole line of products that make everyday camper life easier.

Outlook: new names, new colours

From 2026, VANRIDING takes the next step. The previous size designations S, M, L and XL get individual names. For the Orga variants that means:

  • the slim version, today Orga in S, becomes “CLIP”
  • the deeper version, today Orga in M, becomes “PACK”

On top of that come new colour tones. Red joins the palette, plus a completely new colour that VANRIDING wants to present at the CMT. Black and light grey with black contrast stay in the range. So in future you’ll be able to decide even better whether your Orga Z-Saggerl keeps a low visual profile or deliberately sets accents.

Known not only in the van-life scene

With their feel for craftsmanship, clever solutions and durable materials, Manuela and Oliver Zimmermann from Anger in the Berchtesgadener Land have achieved far more than just making campers happy. Their company VANRIDING impressed the jury of the Meggle Founder’s Award 2025 so much that the Z-Saggerl system took second place. An award that shows how viable the idea is and how much future lies in a product that makes people’s everyday lives easier, whether they’re travelling or not.
