The Dutch caravan brand Lume Traveler is unveiling a new, lightweight model: the Lume Ranger. We’re allowed to show it to you in advance, before it goes on display at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf.
Lume Traveler from Holten in the Netherlands builds caravans that put design and choice of materials front and centre. With the Lume Ranger, a distinctly lighter and more compact model now joins the range, translating the brand’s ambition into a smaller format.
Light and compact
The idea behind the Ranger: to put the Lume concept behind the towbar with less weight. The caravan is more compact than the previous models and is meant to tow more easily as a result. According to Lume, though, that shouldn’t come at the expense of comfort or equipment.
The pop-top roof adds standing height.Materials and fit-out
For the fit-out, Lume goes for the brand’s signature mix: an aluminium body, plus wool felt and teak inside. A pop-top roof provides more standing height and a greater sense of space. As with the larger Lume models, the Ranger comes with a pull-out outdoor kitchen too, so the cooking moves outside.
When and where
The Lume Ranger celebrates its world premiere on 28 August 2026 at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. You’ll find Lume there in Hall 11 at Stand B12.
For the key figures, Lume gives concrete details on its own website: the Ranger weighs 1,150 kg empty and is designed for a maximum permissible weight of 1,500 kg. You sleep on a queen-size Auping bed (160 x 200 cm) and cook at the pull-out outdoor kitchen. The starting price is 59,950 euros.
