The ARB CKMP V2 Compressor in a Case

Advertisement: For anyone heading off-road, a compressor you can count on belongs in the load just as much as a spare tyre or your recovery gear. The ARB compressor delivers on all three fronts that matter here: output, reliability and how much it can handle. The weatherproof housing shrugs off whatever the sky throws at it, which makes it a solid pick for trips where your kit simply has to work.

The ARB CKMP V2 comes with everything you need to be well sorted out on the trail: a tough carry case that protects it and keeps it portable, plus a handy neoprene bag that stows the supplied 7-metre hose and accessories safely away. The set also includes an ARB tyre inflator with a quick-connect fitting and an accessory kit, so you can top up not just tyres but air mattresses, balls and the like without any fuss. The compressor is fixed into the case, and alongside the supplied accessories there’s still room in the case for a digital pressure gauge, which is worth pairing with this compressor.

Built to last and to keep you safe

The ARB compressor has a hard-anodised cylinder bore and a Teflon-impregnated piston seal, both of which keep it running efficiently for the long haul. That construction cuts down on wear and makes for a fully oil-free design. In practice, it means you can transport the compressor in any orientation you like.

It has a built-in overpressure safety switch that shuts the compressor off once the pressure hits roughly 7 bar. That way it doesn’t have to blow off noisily through a pressure-relief valve. The motor also has thermal overload protection on top of that.

With an output of up to 75.1 litres per minute at 0 bar, the compressor has plenty of grunt for jobs big and small. Even against a back-pressure of 2 bar it still manages 61.6 litres per minute while drawing around 25 Ah. The 7-metre hose stays properly flexible even in sub-zero temperatures, so you’ve got enough reach to air up every tyre.

Compact and well protected

At just 7 kg, the single-piston compressor is light enough to carry around without any hassle, yet tough enough to take a real beating out in the field. The weatherproof polypropylene carry case keeps the compressor well protected, while the clever design makes it easy to handle.
