horntools has something new: the free-standing Horizon awning in two versions, 180 and 270 degrees. Ideal for anyone after a quick, effective way to keep off the sun or rain. Both models are extremely light, very fast to set up and have built-in dimmable LED lights.
A fully free-standing 270-degree awning
Both awnings are fully free-standing and need no supports. If it does get stormy, two support poles included in delivery give extra hold. In wind up to 30 km/h you can use them free-standing, and up to 60 km/h with telescopic poles and matching guy ropes. Guying them out is easy via a quick-release mechanism with a ratchet and carabiner.
Indirect LED lighting included
The awnings have built-in indirect LED lighting powered by a battery pack. The lighting is dimmable, so you can adjust it to suit your needs.
Lightweight and quick to set up
The awnings are up in less than 3 minutes and all the material stows in handy storage bags. At a weight of 18.75 kg, or 18.95 kg for the 270-degree awning, they’re among the lighter of their kind.
Hard-wearing material
The material is 280 gsm poly-cotton, with UV protection up to UPF 50+ and a water column up to 3000 mm. If it really does pour, small poles make sure the water can drain off and no pools form. The material is reinforced at these spots with rubber patches.
For the driver’s and passenger’s side, to mount on the roof rack
Both awnings are about two metres long along the vehicle, and the 270-degree awning is available for the driver’s or the passenger’s side on request. It fits the common roof racks and universal brackets are included. The screws can be slid horizontally as needed and set precisely to your roof rack.

For both versions you can get extra side walls and a matching organiser. horntools gives a two-year warranty on the awning.
