The off-road and camping brand horntools has been sold after almost 30 years as part of a succession arrangement. The buyers are private investors who are taking over the management from the founder.
The company horntools, based in Dornbirn, Austria, has stood for high-quality off-road and camping products since its founding in 1994 and has established itself as one of the leading brands for winches, roof racks and roof tents. The company, which employs around 15 people, develops and sells proven off-road and camping products that are very popular with customers. horntools has been marked by steady growth in recent years. The company is being taken over as part of a succession arrangement by the two Switzerland-based entrepreneurs Julian Dörr and Tim Wardenski. Both will take over the management from founder Sven Gruber.
Sven Gruber comments: “After almost 30 years I have decided to hand my company into new hands. It was very important to me to choose the right successors, who also have the ability to keep the company growing profitably. I’m all the more pleased that in Tim and Julian I was able to win over two successful entrepreneurs for horntools, who are also personally interested in the subject of off-road. The two fit the existing team very well and will lead the horntools brand successfully into the future together with it.”
“With horntools we are taking over a company that already stands for reliable, high-quality products and the best customer service,” says Julian Dörr. “We want to build horntools into the leading provider of off-road and camping equipment for vehicles in Europe. We are building on a very good foundation and using the existing brand recognition to make the brand attractive to further target groups.”
Tim Wardenski adds: “With the takeover of horntools a dream comes true for us. The chance to take over an already successful company with further growth potential in a market that is also close to our hearts is a unique opportunity. We were impressed by how the company has grown continuously and profitably over the past years and has always been able to win new customers. The team is motivated and ready to develop further with us. We are very much looking forward to working together.”
