Relleumdesign is known for working, practical and rugged solutions in which form is definitely owed to function. But Dirk Müller-Paul’s products don’t just look functional, they work too. We took a look at his latest items.
Dirk Müller-Paul is still very close to the customer. He takes up suggestions, problems and ideas and devises a solution. So it’s always worth looking at his new products or having a conversation with him about your own problem. Who knows, maybe he’ll come up with a clever solution for it.
Rotatable hooks for airline rails
Airline rails, also known as lashing rails, are endlessly practical. You can attach all sorts of things to them in all sorts of ways, inside and out. Relleumdesign now offers hooks and lashing eyes that can each be rotated 90° on the rail.
There are two types, one with two closed, curved eyes and one with two hooks. What the lashing eyes are for should be clear. Quickly slot the Relleumdesign eye into the lashing rail and the load can be safely secured with lashing straps.
The stainless steel lashing eye 2.0 is no longer welded but embossed from a single piece. It can be rotated 90° on the lashing rail. Because the base plate is cranked and the rounded 4 mm eyes are additionally raised, the straps aren’t crushed or pinched in the corners. They’re suitable for all airline and utility rails for M8 bolts.

The hook version can be used universally. On one side it has an eye, on the other two hooks. There you can hang your wet things, the tea towel or the rubbish bag. In the eye you can hook the washing line or the hook of your wash bag. It’s always good to have a few of these hooks along, they’re very useful. They can also be quickly rotated 90°, just as you need it in the particular situation.

You can get the universal hook here: twist-fitting clothes hook.
Step for the tow hitch
With a few movements you can turn your tow hitch into a step. The steel step with non-slip rubber studs is simply attached to the ball head of the tow hitch. With dimensions of 307 x 157 millimetres it offers a secure standing surface. It sits about 10 millimetres above the ball. Anyone who rarely tows a trailer but often has to get up to the rear or onto the pick-up bed will find a good, simple solution in the step. In version 2.0 the attachment has been simplified further.

Sturdy recovery eye with a standard hole pattern
Another simple but good solution. A 15 millimetre thick St52 steel plate with a solid 16 millimetre hook, 40 millimetre inner width, and the standard hole pattern for tow hitches of 83 x 56 millimetres for four M10 bolts. The breaking load of the eye is 18 tonnes.
Anyone who doesn’t (currently) need their tow hitch can very easily fit a reliable anchor point for vehicle recovery at the rear instead of the hitch. Of course you have to make sure that the mounting of the tow hitch on the vehicle also withstands the possible loads.
The existing holes are intended for M10 bolts. Normally strength class 10.9 is used. Should the bolt size be M12, the holes of the mounting plate can be drilled out to a dimension of 12.5 millimetres.
