Advertisement: Sometimes you don’t need compromises. No “it’ll probably hold”. No “a bit damp won’t matter”. But gear you can throw into the water or the mud without getting nervous afterwards. That’s exactly what the YETI Panga 75L is made for. I’m thinking of river crossings, while the water runs in through the doors and out again. When you’ve got stuck in the mud and all your clothes have to come out, because the recovery gear is of course right at the bottom. The YETI Panga takes it all.
The YETI Panga is not a travel bag for the airport. No, it’s a fully submersible duffel bag, developed for rivers, rain, mud, swell and situations in which gear simply has to work. No matter what the weather or the terrain is doing right now.
What does submersible actually mean?
Submersible here doesn’t mean splash-proof or copes with a bit of rain. The Panga can be sealed completely airtight and waterproof. Nothing gets in, nothing gets out. That’s made possible by HF-welded seams, the extremely rugged ThickSkin outer material and the HydroLok zip, which is the heart of the bag.
The test of whether it’s sealed is simple. Close the bag, squeeze it, listen. If no air escapes, water stays out too. That’s exactly how it should be.
Resistant on the outside. Tidy on the inside.
The outer shell is thick, hard-wearing and puncture-resistant. The bottom of the YETI Panga is waterproof and shape-stable too, so you can set the bag down without a second thought. Whether on gravel, sand or wet forest floor.
Inside you’ll find two easily accessible mesh pockets, perfect for smaller gear, valuables or things you don’t want to lose in the main compartment. No gimmicks, just exactly what you need outdoors.
Carry it however suits
The Panga 75L can be carried classically as a bag or shouldered like a backpack with the DryHaul shoulder straps. In addition, there are QuickGrab handles on top with which you can quickly grab, load or pull the bag out of the off-roader. The MetalLock metal fittings are as rugged as they look. You can clearly see this is not a bag for gentle treatment.

What do you use the YETI Panga for?
For everything that has to stay dry. Clean clothing on tour, wet waders, jackets, camera equipment or sleeping bags. Or simply gear that must not get wet under any circumstances. The Panga is ideal for river crossings when it gets deeper, when you’re planning to get stuck in the mud, when you’re out with a kayak or canoe, or when you want to store wet or muddy things without dirtying the rest of your car.
Size, weight and variants
The Panga 75L offers plenty of storage and weighs around 2.8 kg empty. The dimensions are 74.9 x 39.4 x 27.9 cm. In terms of colour it comes in Storm Grey and Tan, among others. Anyone who needs more or less room can get the Panga with 50 or 100 litres too. And if you have even less with you and are travelling on foot, the system is also available as a 28-litre backpack.
A three-year warranty applies to the waterproof Panga bags. The 50-litre version can pass as hand luggage with many airlines. The 75L and 100L are clearly too big for that.
Clearly, the YETI Panga is not a bag for everyone. It’s a bag for people who are out there when others are packing up. For tours where water isn’t an option but part of the game. Heavy, rugged, uncompromisingly sealed. Exactly as you’d expect from YETI.
