Genesis Import is adding the ICECO brand to its range with new cool and freezer boxes. There are two series to choose from: the APL line goes for aluminium, which makes it pleasantly light, and offers clever details with a smart look. The VL Pro series is made of stainless steel, very sturdy and meant for hard use. All models work reliably in a temperature range from -20 to +20 degrees.
ICECO APL cool boxes
The APL line goes for low weight and uses aluminium for its outer skin. As well as a modern boxy look, the ICECO APL line also includes cool boxes with the typical “Zarges look”, so they can’t be spotted as a cool box straight away.
Of the six APL models, four are dual-zone and two are single-zone cool boxes. In the dual-zone versions you can cool and freeze at the same time. The sizes run from a compact 20 up to 55 litres.
The VL Pro series is the stainless-steel camp: very tough and as practical as it gets. Weight here runs from 10 to 29 kilograms depending on the model, so nothing for the lightweight brigade, but built for trips where the kit simply has to hold up.

ICECO VL Pro cool boxes
The VL Pro boxes are the larger ICECO boxes for longer trips. They have the unique twin-side opening. The lid can be opened from two sides or taken off completely. All VL Pro boxes share the same look, available in three colours: grey, black and olive green. They come as dual- or single-zone boxes.
The VL Pro line ranges from 40 to 75 litres of capacity.
Compressor technology
The cooling tech in the ICECO boxes uses the proven Secop compressor, originally developed by Danfoss in Germany. It’s easy on power and tough enough for use in 4x4s and travel vehicles. Even steep angles don’t throw the compressor off: the box keeps running reliably, even when the going gets rough off-road.
A built-in battery guard makes sure your starter battery isn’t drained flat while the cool box runs. ICECO gives a five-year warranty on the Secop compressors, a clear sign of trust in the technology.
