Accessories and Add-Ons for the INEOS Grenadier

Alongside the original accessories, more and more suppliers offer a stack of add-ons and accessories for the INEOS Grenadier.

Off-roaders and overland travellers don’t just like using their vehicle, they like tinkering with it just as much, making it their own and tailoring it to their needs. There are plenty of add-ons and accessories for the INEOS Grenadier. We’ve had a look around and give you an overview of various, hand-picked accessories.

Accessories and add-ons for the INEOS Grenadier

For now we’re sticking to vehicle protection, tyres and wheels, lighting, storage, awnings, the interior and the fit-out, plus mounts and mounting options for accessories. At the end we give you a few glimpses of very special accessories and more extreme builds. A few gadgets can’t be missing either, of course. In further articles we’ll then look at even more accessories and builds.

Vehicle protection

If you take your off-roader into the terrain and head off the made roads, good vehicle protection matters. Whether it’s the engine, gearbox, differentials, axles or the side-impact protection. Protection inside, for the occupants, can make sense too. For the INEOS Grenadier there’s already a lot of add-ons here.

Rock sliders for the Grenadier

The rock sliders from ABNTR4x4 to protect the bodywork of the INEOS Grenadier have a bold design and are made from stainless steel. The rock slider fits directly below the doors in place of the plastic trim. Because the rock sliders sit high, they don’t hurt the off-road ability. They mount to the original fixing points without drilling. The rock sliders don’t just protect the bodywork, the non-slip surface of drawn studs also gives you sure footing. ABNTR4x4 offers the rock sliders for both the Grenadier and the Quartermaster. More details are on the ABNTR4x4 website.

HD front skid plate

The HD front skid plate from Offroad-Tec for the Ineos Grenadier protects the engine, radiator and steering from stone chips, grounding and contact with the terrain. Made from 8 mm aluminium, it offers a high level of protection with optimised weight.

It mounts to the vehicle’s original fixing points, without drilling. A flat shape keeps maximum ground clearance, while generous drain holes stop mud building up. A built-in stainless steel grille also protects sensitive parts in the front end.

Skid plate for the fuel filter

Skid plate for the fuel filter of the 3-litre turbodiesel. The skid plates are made from 6 mm aluminium and mount to the original points on the vehicle. This fuel-filter skid plate and further skid plates are in-house developments by Taubenreuther.

HD rear skid plate

The HD rear skid plate for the Ineos Grenadier protects against grounding, stone chips and contact with the terrain. Made from 6 mm aluminium, it offers a high level of protection at low weight.

It mounts to the vehicle’s original fixing points, without drilling. The flat shape keeps maximum ground clearance, while generous drain holes stop mud building up and make cleaning easier. Powder-coated and available in matt black or matt red, built for off-road, travel and lasting load.

Wing protectors for INEOS Grenadier and Quartermaster

Wing protectors aren’t only popular with Defender drivers. They’re a handy accessory that also smartens the car up. The ABNTR4x4 wing protectors for the INEOS Grenadier and the Quartermaster are made from 3 mm aluminium in Germany. The studded design matches the maker’s Grenadier rock sliders. The plates bolt onto the wing and are made for off-road use, road registration isn’t possible. The wing protectors, which guard against dents and scratches off-road, bolt on with rivet nuts and can be removed.

Chequer-plate wing protectors for INEOS Grenadier and Quartermaster

If you’d rather have chequer plate on your wings, you’ll find that too. The Ex-Tec chequer-plate wing protectors are made from aluminium sheet, 4 mm thick including the chequering, and shaped to fit the INEOS Grenadier wing exactly. They come as a pair, the surface is black powder-coated and they fit with the supplied rivet nuts and bolts. The chequer-plate wing protectors can’t be road-registered in Europe. They may only be used off-road (competitions) without using public roads.

Stainless rock sliders with and without tree slider

The HD rock sliders from Offroad-Tec are based on an Offroad-Tec design proven since 2008 and replace the standard plastic sills. They reliably protect the underbody from rock contact, grounding and side obstacles. The especially high mounting directly below the doors gives maximum clearance off-road, without low side steps that would act as grounding skids. The bracket system uses only the original vehicle mounts and fits without drilling.

Made from solid stainless steel rectangular tube (80 × 40 × 3 mm) with a central support strut, the rock sliders offer high strength and extra side-impact protection. Thanks to the tough construction, a jack or Hi-Lift can be set anywhere along them. Various options are available, including tree sliders.

Rear step plate to guard against scratches when loading

The ABNTR4x4 rear step plate for the INEOS Grenadier is made from aluminium in Germany. Its shape doesn’t just protect the rear bumper, it also cuts down stray light hitting the reversing camera so the view stays clear. The studded surface means the rear step plate matches the ABNTR4x4 rock sliders and wing protectors above. It bolts to the original mounts. Extra riveting is possible.

Seat cover for the driver and passenger side

Whether the Grenadier’s Recaro seats have leather or fabric trim, the made-to-measure covers in 1000D Nylon 6.6 and breathable nylon mesh for the front seats give the Grenadier tough, all-round protection. To get a perfect fit on the compact, straight-lined seats, the textile designers at Nakatanenga went for a three-part concept. Apart from the headrest, the backrest and the seat each get their own cover. That keeps them firmly and exactly in place without bulging or slipping. The covers fix separately and, for a tighter fit, tuck into the gaps both at the outer edges and between backrest and seat.

Floor mats to protect the interior of the INEOS Grenadier

The ARB floor mats available at Taubenreuther are an easy-to-clean solution. They’re made to catch and hold dirt. They’re waterproof, give a secure footrest and a fitted shape that covers all areas of the original footwell. Where possible, they use the vehicle’s own clips. The recesses and the moulded design make the mats easy to clean: just wipe or hose them off, dry them and put them back in, ready for the next adventure. The thermoplastic elastomer material is odourless, has clean edges and gives secure grip and protection on all the usual vehicle floors.

Safety cage for the INEOS Grenadier

The well-known Matzker already showed a safety cage for the Grenadier at the Abenteuer Allrad show last year. They’re still making various changes to it before the product goes into series production. So we can look forward to it.

Tyres and wheels

Tyres and wheels are your contact with the ground. That’s why they matter so much. We’ve had a look at a few options.

BRAID alloy wheels 8×17

The BRAID Winrace S wheels in 8×17 with an offset of +45 are one-piece alloy wheels, available in an anthracite finish. They let you fit 17-inch all-terrain and mud-terrain tyres. More information is at LETECH.

LETECH speedo module for the Grenadier

Have you fitted bigger wheels to your Grenadier? The LETECH speedo module for the Grenadier corrects the speedo error from larger tyres and gets the speed reading right again.

Borbet CW7 alloy wheel 7.5×18

The BORBET CW7 from the “Commercial Wheels” range wins on more than design, it also handles high wheel loads of up to 1,400 kg. The wheel is available at Nakatanenga in 7.5×18 with an offset of 47, in matt black or matt bronze.

Spare-wheel carrier with offset

More tyre diameter, without rebuilds. The spare-wheel carrier with offset from Offroad-Tec for the INEOS Grenadier lets you fit spare wheels up to 37 inches (about 94 cm). It mounts to the original bolt points on the tailgate, and the standard carrier goes back on, plug and play, with no vehicle changes. The offset up and to the right makes the room you need, and the tailgates stay fully usable.

Lighting

Good light matters, whether on the road, on dark tracks or in camp. The Grenadier does come with LED headlights from the factory. But in lighting too there are plenty of add-ons and accessories for the INEOS Grenadier.

Spotlight upgrade for the INEOS Grenadier

The Vision X CG2 Light Cannon lights give the INEOS Grenadier even more light. The spotlights have a far-reaching beam of up to 1,066 metres. The two lights come with a plug-and-play wiring harness and the matching CNC-machined mounts. More details are at ABNTR4x4.

Light-bar bracket kit

LETECH has developed a complete kit for auxiliary lighting with enormous output for the Grenadier. With a control unit and the roof switch panel’s standard switches, you can change between five preset lighting modes. The bracket kit consists of the bracket for round lights, six round LED lights at 9,600 lumen each plus white and amber daytime running light, and the control unit. The kit fits the Quartermaster too. More information and further lighting options are at LETECH.

LED bracket, rear gutter

The LED bracket for the rear gutter of the INEOS Grenadier lets you fit work lights or auxiliary lights to light up the rear of the vehicle. The bracket clamps to the rear end of the roof gutter, completely drill-free and quick to fit. At the same time the design gives a secure, low-vibration hold, even off-road.

Made from stainless steel and matt black powder-coated (fine texture), the bracket sits discreetly on the vehicle and is built for lasting outdoor use. It’s available for the left or right side.

LED light bar, gutter

The LED light bar from Offroad-Tec gives extremely bright light in front of the vehicle when you need it. Game, obstacles and hazards stand out much sooner at night or on dark country roads, a real safety gain in everyday use and off-road. It mounts to the gutter with a proven, drill-free clamp system with a secure hold and built-in theft protection.

Extra storage

Storage is essential, especially when you travel. For the Grenadier there are some clever solutions on the market for both inside and out.

Roof storage box for the Grenadier

The LETECH roof storage box is a handy way to make extra storage in the rear of the vehicle. Of particular interest to hunters: according to the maker, the box meets German regulation no. 36.2.15 WaffVwV. The box is made from aluminium sheet parts and powder-coated.

Storage box for the spare wheel

The storage box from Offroad-Tec makes dry storage for tools, recovery or travel kit. It mounts to the existing fixing points in the spare wheel, with no changes to the vehicle. The design blends quietly into the rear.

Made from aluminium and matt black powder-coated (fine texture), the box is built for lasting outdoor use. The fully welded, waterproof build with an all-round rubber seal reliably protects the contents from moisture, dust and dirt. A lockable catch, good hinges and German manufacture make for durability and security off-road.

Hardtop for the Grenadier Quartermaster

With the aluminium Bushtech hardtop for the Ineos Quartermaster, the load bed turns into a multi-purpose, weatherproof storage space where you can mount and carry plenty of accessories inside and out. It’s ideal for setting up roof tents, awnings, solar panels and platform roof racks, and many special builds for professional use are possible too.

With two standard C-channels, you can easily lash extra luggage to the roof using eye bolts.
Or you can fit crossbars, depending on the planned use. Inside, another four C-channels run across the hardtop roof, and here too you can mount accessories or make extra storage. Three dust- and waterproof side flaps, which open easily thanks to two gas struts, give access to the inside from three sides.

LIGHT WEIGHT load carrier for the spare wheel

More load capacity, without drilling or rebuilds. The LIGHT WEIGHT load carrier from Offroad-Tec fixes straight to the spare wheel and expands what your off-road vehicle can carry, quickly and simply. It mounts with a strap and a stainless steel tensioner, so no changes to the vehicle are needed.

At only about 2.8 kg, the carrier stands for serious light weight. The fully welded load basket in 2.5 mm aluminium is matt black powder-coated (fine texture) and built for lasting off-road and travel use. Width-adjustable mounting brackets allow universal fitting on almost all common off-road vehicles. The recommended maximum load is 25 kg.

Gullwing window for the INEOS Grenadier

For the five-door INEOS Grenadier, Explore Glazing developed a range of side windows that replace the original fixed side glass with functional versions for travel and expedition vehicles. One of the most striking combinations is the so-called gullwing window together with the Explore Overlander Light, a fold-down window guard that doubles as a compact work or cooking surface.

The gullwing window opens upwards on gas struts and gives direct access to the load area from the side of the vehicle. That way you can reach kit, tools or camping gear without opening the tailgate. The windows are available either with an aluminium panel or with 5 mm toughened safety glass in a dark grey tint. All the windows for the Grenadier have exactly the same dimensions as the original side glass and, like the factory glass, are bonded in with a polymer adhesive. So no changes to the bodywork are needed and the install stays fully reversible.

Drawers and load slides for the boot

A drawer brings order to the boot and loose items can be packed away safely. The modular Outback Solutions range can be tailored to your own needs. Thanks to the building-block principle, individual parts join into a whole, for example stacked on top of each other and sitting side by side, which lets you put together a complete system that suits you. The drawers take up to 100 kg, the slides up to 75 kg. You’ll find many of the parts at Taubenreuther.

Storage compartment, driver’s side load area

You can never have enough storage, and when you open the tailgates and look left into the Grenadier, you’ll find a plastic cover there. It can be removed to reach the jack. If you stow the jack somewhere else, you get more storage space. For that, Ex-Tec developed a lockable storage flap. The frame and flap are made from aluminium and replace the plastic cover (reversible mounting without drilling, using the existing cut-outs in the plastic). You can also fit switches or similar on the top of the compartment.

Boot storage system

The clever boot storage system from Front Runner creates an extra level in the vehicle to stow about four Wolf Pack Pro boxes. It also lets you fit Front Runner luggage slides or fridge rails. It has a load rating of 80 kg. The system is spring-loaded to prevent vibration and excess movement. It fixes to the vehicle’s original mounting points.

Note: this INEOS Grenadier storage system isn’t compatible with the Utility Wagon model.

Awnings for the Grenadier

Shelter from the weather is a must.

270-degree awning

270-degree awnings are popular because they can cover a large area around the vehicle. The horntools 270° Horizon awning is a free-standing awning. It gives large-area shelter from sun and rain. Its geometry suits the Grenadier. The one thing you need is somewhere to mount it, such as a roof rack. We’ll look at roof racks for the Grenadier in a further article here on Matsch&Piste.

180-degree awning

A 180-degree awning is worth a look too. The Rhino Rack Batwing 180° awning is free-standing and suits mounting on the left or right of the vehicle. Closed it’s only 2,200 mm long and just over 6,000 mm when opened out, and the covered area is around eight square metres.

Side awning

For those who prefer a slim, classic awning, the Rhino Rack Sunseeker III is a nice, light and affordable solution. It comes in two lengths and is quick to put up and take down. The Rhino Rack Sunseeker III awning comes with a black cover, and on the back there’s an aluminium mounting rail to fix it to the roof rack. On pop-tops the awning can often be bolted straight on. We’ll look at pop-tops for the INEOS Grenadier in a separate article.

Fit-out and interior

We set up for travel. For the Grenadier there’s plenty of extra interior kit and fit-outs that can make camping and travelling more comfortable.

Ineos Grenadier camping fit-out

The Camp-Life fit-out from Matzker for the INEOS Grenadier wins on good materials, thought-through function and a tough, modular build. Made from light plywood with hard-wearing Fenix laminate, the system pairs durability with a smart look. The built-in ship’s deck and the solid oak chopping board add natural touches and high usability. The powder-coated aluminium drawers run on ball-cage rails for a lasting, precise action. Thanks to the adjustable Adam Hall catches, everything stays firmly fixed on the move, without rattling or knocking.

The fully assembled sleeping surface measures 2 metres and takes up to 200 kg. A matching mattress can be ordered as an option, with various firmness grades to choose from. The fit-out is extensive and consists of 1x two-burner gas stove, 1x chopping board, cutlery for 4, 1x pan, 2x plates, 2x cups, 2x mugs, 1x Bialetti coffee maker, 2 bowls, a water canister with mount (XL), built-in airline rails (L & XL), a compartment for shoes or similar in the left rear door (XL), and a built-in lighter compartment. The fridge recess fits the Dometic CFX3 35 exactly (not included). As an option, the Grenadier fit-out design also has a fold-out table in the large tailgate. More information is at Matzker.

Flexible fit-out for the INEOS Grenadier

The Red Rock Adventures Flex2 fit-out is light, tough and waterproof. Thanks to the modular concept with no changes to the vehicle, the Ineos Grenadier keeps its original rear bench and stays just as usable for everyday and travel. With a few moves you get a large sleeping surface that’s especially good for spontaneous overnighters. The storage has room for a 30-litre fridge slide. Instead of that, a 60 x 40 cm Euro box can take its place. All in all you have various combinations, from just Euro boxes with lots of storage, to one Euro box and a fridge slide, through to the fridge slide with a kitchen box.

Mobile camping fit-out for the Grenadier from QUQUQ

The GrenBox uses the proven QUQUQ concept and turns the Grenadier into a full travel companion in no time. The compact module holds a comfortable bed, a fully kitted kitchen with a two-burner stove, a 20-litre fresh-water tank, plenty of storage and a handy work surface.

It fits in a few minutes and without much effort. So the Grenadier is always ready for the next trip or off-road tour. If you need the vehicle for everyday or other jobs, the box comes out again just as quickly. That keeps you flexible and lets you switch between travel vehicle and transporter as needed.

Vent plates for the rear side windows

If you use your Grenadier as a travel vehicle, you need good air circulation inside. That’s exactly what the vent plates from Nakatanenga give you, plus effective insect protection. The vent grilles are made from aluminium, black powder-coated, made to fit the Grenadier exactly, and supplied as a pair.

Kitchen board for the Grenadier tailgate

The Ex-Tec kitchen board is a shelf and extra storage in one. It has two compartments you can reach when the board is folded down. Kitchen utensils stow away neatly here. The lower compartment is also made for Hartkorn spices, held between the rubber bands. It’s available in various versions, comes ready assembled and just needs bolting on.

Drawer box for the boot

The LETECH drawer box fixes firmly to the load floor and offers two roomy drawers of 790x430x130 mm each. The drawer compartments can also be divided up as you like. On top of that, luggage can be lashed down using the optional airline rails on top of the drawer box. So you can stow important kit well and securely while keeping it to hand. The LETECH drawer box also makes a flat surface together with the folded-down bench.

Leather handle for the INEOS Grenadier tailgate

The Grenadier has no handle on the inside of the tailgate. There are various options that fix this, for when the vehicle is used for travel and you want to be able to close the doors from inside too. Ex-Tec has a leather handle for this in various colours, which fixes straight to the bolt points of the inner door trim.
It can be fitted to both tailgates.

Mounts for kit and mounting aids for accessories

Where do you put your phone, radios, maps, tablets and the like inside, or shovels, axes or canisters outside? There are plenty of useful add-ons and accessories for the INEOS Grenadier for this too.

Tough phone mount

RAM Mounts have proven themselves off-road. The universal RAM Mounts phone holder for the INEOS Grenadier suits large smartphones and any other device with a max. width of 92.08 mm and a max. height of 209.55 mm. You can get the RAM Mounts phone holder for the Grenadier at ABNTR4x4, for example.

Another good option for holding a smartphone, tablet or sat nav in the Grenadier’s cockpit is the ABNTR4x4 RAM Mount base in stainless steel for phones in the INEOS Grenadier.

Especially handy: the mount fixes to the original bolt points of the seat heating, left or right. It fits all models and years of the INEOS Grenadier Station, Utility and Quartermaster. No drilling or changing parts is needed. It fits in a few minutes with an Allen key.

Molle panel, tailgate

The aluminium Molle panels from Nakatanenga simply fix to the inside of the windows with suction cups and are compatible with all the maker’s Molle products. The options for combining and personalising are as good as endless: whether you want to stow several MOLLE pouches, the first-aid kit or something else neatly, these modular panels make it possible. And when you don’t need the panels, they come off without a trace.

Peli Case holder

There’s plenty you can fit outside too. For that you need sturdy holders. The LETECH Peli Case holder gives the well-known Peli Case boxes a secure hold. You’ll find these Peli Case holders and the matching 1615 Air case, plus further holders for kit on the roof rack such as shovels, recovery boards and the like, at LETECH.

Modular vehicle panel, exterior

The modular Nakatanenga MOLLE vehicle panels for the Grenadier fix easily with stainless steel brackets to the standard airline rails and the rain gutters. The universal design allows mounting on the left or right of the vehicle. They come off without a trace. The sturdy mount plate in black powder-coated aluminium allows the secure carriage of anything that’s MOLLE-compatible in some form and can be fixed with straps, clamps or Quickfists. The maximum load is 25 kg, which is roughly a 20L canister of water or fuel.

Multi-function rear ladder

It’s handy when an accessory does more than one job. The LETECH rear ladder doesn’t just get you onto your Grenadier’s roof, it also has a canister mount and fixing options for further accessories, plus more functions like an outdoor shower, bike mount or rear light. Further add-ons for the INEOS Grenadier

4-step ladder for the Grenadier

Front Runner has a rear ladder for the Grenadier (2022 to today). The 4-step ladder gives comfortable, safe access to the kit mounted on the roof rack, like storage boxes, recovery boards or spare canisters. It mounts to the original fixing points and is made from black powder-coated steel. The ladder’s maximum load is 110 kg.

The rear step from Offroad-Tec makes it easier to reach the rear of the Ineos Grenadier and gives sure footing thanks to its non-slip textured coating.

It mounts to the existing bolt points of the tow bar, without drilling or vehicle changes. Made from stainless steel and matt black powder-coated (fine texture), the step offers high strength and weather resistance.

Special and individual accessories and extreme builds

As always with off-road vehicles, there are extreme builds or very special, individual accessories for a small circle of users. We don’t want to keep those from you in our overview of add-ons and accessories for the INEOS Grenadier.

Plush interior for the Grenadier

Matzker has a new “Vogue” interior for the Grenadier. It’s a top-grade, individually configurable leather fit-out that can be shaped entirely to the customer’s wishes. From fine Bentley leathers to Porsche water buffalo, almost anything is possible here. Alcantara can be worked in too and rounds off the interior in suitably plush style.

Portal axles for the INEOS Grenadier

LETECH’s portal axles are a byword for outstanding off-road ability and reliability. By raising ground clearance by about 186 mm, the LETECH portal axles let you tackle the most demanding off-road challenges. Suitable base vehicles for the INEOS Grenadier Trialmaster X LETECH are the Grenadier Station Wagon or Grenadier Quartermaster. Gadgets and toys are a must for the Grenadier fan.

INEOS Grenadier model car

For the Grenadier fan there are various collector models in 1:18 scale, for example the INEOS Grenadier model car, “Station Wagon” model in Eldoret Blue. Each model is developed together with the vehicle and has a detailed interior, doors that open, and shows a range of vehicle options and accessories.
