There are many reasons for a roof rack on an off-road vehicle. By now there are also a number of roof racks for the INEOS Grenadier.
The roof tent needs fitting or other bits of gear no longer find room in the interior. That’s where a roof rack helps. An awning or auxiliary lights can be mounted on a roof rack too.
Roof racks for the INEOS Grenadier
The INEOS Grenadier has a comparatively high roof load. A roof rack is an obvious choice. We’ve looked around the market and present a few roof and load carriers for the INEOS Grenadier.
Nakatanenga CargoBear 2.0 system roof rack for the INEOS Grenadier

Nakatanenga has developed the CargoBear system roof rack, already familiar from other vehicles, for the Grenadier too. The CargoBear for the Grenadier (Station Wagon/Utility Wagon) can be ordered in four variants and, as usual with the Nakatanenga system racks, subsequent modifications or add-ons are possible at any time.
In the simplest, open version, the roof rack consists of three cross bars, a wind deflector at the front and the end carrier at the rear. For closed and thus fully walk-on platforms, it comes in three further variants. As always, all aluminium and stainless steel components on the CargoBear are black powder-coated. The ultra-flat roof rack is fixed, similarly to the Defender, very simply with clamping bars to the roof gutter. A hybrid solution specially adapted to the Grenadier provides even more stability: additional U-profiles and support brackets connect the CargoBear to the handles of the roof surface, to relieve the rather soft roof gutter. The CargoBear system roof rack is available for the Station Wagon and the Quartermaster.
horntools roof rack ExRoof for the INEOS Grenadier

The ExRoof roof rack for the INEOS Grenadier (Fieldmaster & Trailmaster from 2022) is made of powder-coated aluminium and therefore weighs just 36.6 kg. With a size of 1930 (L) x 1500 (W) mm, room is created on the roof of the INEOS Grenadier to mount and stow a roof tent, transport boxes, tools and other accessories. Thanks to the surrounding profile rail of the horntools ExRoof, additional add-ons can be fitted using T-slot nuts.
horntools also has numerous matching mounting options for gear such as jerrycans or sand ladder holders in its range.

The LETECH roof rack is also a solution for carrying roof loads or mounting roof tents and awnings. The LETECH roof rack for the INEOS Grenadier impresses with its low height and offers a variety of mounting options for gear via C-profile rails. In addition, additional accessories such as an axe holder, a shovel holder, a sand ladder mount and various mounting kits are optionally available to meet individual needs.
The LETECH roof rack can optionally be fitted with two LED work lights mounted at the rear, which have additional functions like brake light, indicator and reversing light. A variant is available for the Station Wagon and one for the Quartermaster. An optional aluminium decking makes the LETECH roof rack fully walk-on.
Modular roof rack platform INEOS Grenadier from Offroad-Tec

Photo: Offroad-Tec
Maximum stability for expedition, roof tent and heavy gear. The modular roof rack platform for the INEOS Grenadier is mounted directly to the original fixing points of the roof structure, not to the roof skin. That way you use only the load points approved by the manufacturer and get a particularly stable roof rack system for off-road and travel use.
At just 35 mm in build height, the vehicle’s centre of gravity stays low, while 15 mm of clearance to the roof skin offers additional protection. The platform, made of aluminium with stainless steel brackets, is matt black powder-coated (fine texture) and designed for permanent vehicle loading.
Several integrated airline rails allow flexible load securing for gear, transport boxes or a roof tent. The system is modular and can be put together individually from several platforms. While driving, up to 150 kg of roof load is possible, when stationary, with a roof tent for example, considerably higher loads.
Rhino Rack Pioneer 6 platform roof rack and Reconn Bar cross bars

The Pioneer 6 platform is Rhino Rack’s strongest and most versatile roof rack to date, promising up to 60% less air resistance, 20% less weight and 25% more usable channels. The roof rack available at Taubenreuther comes with integrated cabling options, additional channels in the cross members and, optionally, a very comprehensive accessory system. The roof rack increases the vehicle height by around 75 mm (measured from the top edge of the plastic cover).
The manufacturer’s stated roof load of 150 kg can be used in full (less the rack system’s own weight). The foot kits are an in-house development by Taubenreuther.
Another option for carrying roof loads or mounting roof tents are the Rhino Rack Reconn Bar cross bars. These fit both the Station Wagon and the Ineos Quartermaster. The roof rack increases the vehicle height by around 67 mm (measured from the top edge of the plastic cover). A dynamic load capacity of 40 kg is approved per cross bar.
Front Runner Slimline II roof rack kit

The 2570 mm long Slimline II roof rack kit opens up the option of carrying additional expedition, camping or sports gear. The height of the roof rack also offers room to mount Front Runner Dometic camping tables under the rack.
Besides the Slimline II platform, the kit includes a wind deflector as well as eight mounting feet and 8 Ineos Grenadier handle brackets. The weight is around 57 kg. It’s made of black powder-coated aluminium and steel.
There’s also a short version of the rack. Like the full platform, the 3/4 roof rack kit allows additional gear to be carried. Accessories can be mounted on top, underneath and at the sides too. The only difference is the length of the Slimline II roof rack platform. For the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster too, Front Runner offers a roof carrier, both a full platform and a half platform.
