In spring 2023, Dare to be Different Outdoor will launch the Sitta, the first soft-shell roof tent made of TenCate material. The roof tent was designed entirely in the Netherlands, is made of Dutch TenCate fabric and produced in Europe.
With the Sitta you don’t have to compromise on comfort and ease of use. Because the roof tent was developed specifically for adventurers and travellers looking for a tent with high quality standards.
As free as a bird
This roof tent didn’t get its name for nothing. To true nature lovers and bird experts the name may sound familiar. Sitta is in fact the family name of the nuthatches. The roof tent has the same colouring as this characteristic bird, and with its compact size it seems to cling to the car roof. That way you have the freedom and flexibility of a bird and can go anywhere.
Solidly built, just like the nuthatch
The nuthatch is a sturdily built bird that nonetheless seems light as it climbs up and down the tree. Just like this tent on the roof: solidly built and weighing only 59 kg.
In harmony with nature
Because Dare to be Different Outdoor cares about nature, the team decided to produce the Sitta in Europe. This means short production routes, fewer emissions during transport and a higher-quality roof tent that stays in use longer. The Sitta is made of the material TenCate KA-10. A tough 280-gram fabric made of a blend of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. This makes for a tough, breathable roof tent.
Prices and availability
The Dare to be Different Sitta is available from 3,850 euros. The annex or the side wall, also made of TenCate KA-10 cloth, are available as options. The annex will have a new concept that can be designed entirely to the customer’s wishes.
The Sitta can be ordered from Dare to be Different from 1 January and is available from April at official Dare to be Different Outdoor dealers.
