40. Frühjahrstreffen des Sahara Club

40th Spring Meeting of the Sahara Club e.V.

Traditionally on the Corpus Christi weekend, travel enthusiasts meet in Westhofen. This time for the 40th spring meeting of the Sahara Club e.V.

The Sahara Club e.V. is a real institution of the travel scene. At first the club was entirely focused on Sahara trips, and today the members of the Sahara Club are at home on all continents. The Sahara Club’s meeting in Westhofen has existed since 1985, and for this year’s meeting the club has again come up with an extensive supporting programme.

An excellent supporting programme awaits the participants

Togetherness and exchange among the travellers are, as always, at the forefront of the meeting. To that end there will again be many interesting workshops, talks and discussion rounds.

The official opening of the meeting with representatives of the municipality and the local heritage association is on Thursday, 4 June at 4 pm. Immediately afterwards it gets going with the first picture talks. And in a special, proven format: the Travel Slam. In it, some participants of the meeting each show 30 travel pictures in five minutes, and gradually a virtual journey around the globe takes shape. Further interesting travel talks are planned for Friday and Saturday. In addition, on Friday there will be an exciting and useful workshop around the subject of emergency repairs on the road. On Saturday evening there’s again Musique du Grand Maghreb with the band El Maachi.

This and much more awaits you at the 40th spring meeting of the Sahara Club. You can get to the full programme on the club’s website.
